PROPERTY SEWAGE & DRAINAGE SURVEY
WHY?
The Environment Agency now requires owners provide potential buyers with details of what their property sewage system is. This will include information such as; type, condition, and if it meets environment standards.
Our Property Survey can help protect owners from potential delays in selling their property, and buyers from nasty surprises once they have moved in*.
Our Consultants will visit the property and complete a full review of the sewage and drainage system.
The surveys normally include:-
- Confirming flow and loadings and sewage strength for a property or site.
- Finding out the specification and capabilities of any existing facilities.
- A broad Investigation into the management of surface water.
- Determining any possible points of discharges.
- Flow testing the existing sewers.
- A Public sewer investigation, location and obtaining the sewer maps (where appropriate).
- Investigating the legal requirements surrounding permits and discharge quality.
- Recommending or designing suitable solutions to manage sewage sustainably and legally.
WILL A PROPERTY SURVEY COVER IT?
Normally not. Most surveyors will not review the property’s sewage system and pipework as part of the property survey or Homebuyer report.
