We and the Environment Agency recommend that you have your sewage system regularly checked and serviced by a professional engineer.
How often your system needs be serviced will depend on it’s type and how many people are using it. But as a rule, we recommend that a typical system that’s used by 4 people should serviced every 3 months.
Regular servicing helps keep your system running as it should and allows those small problems to be spotted early. This proactively prevents them turning into big system failures.
A big system failure can result in expensive bills, local pollution and even fines by the Environment Agency – which no one wants!
